Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival 2017 Appearance

As many of you will now know, The Famous Spiegeltent will not be returning to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year, due to the fact that Essential Edinburgh have pulled the plug on St Andrew's Square being a part of The Fringe. It was done in such a way that it made it utterly impossible for The Famous to find another site, which frankly breaks my heart. I've said everything I've wanted to say about this situation on Facebook and Twitter, but not having the opportunity to be a part of La Clique once again is devastating, and I will miss performing in this magnificent venue (not to mention The Bates Family themselves and all who work for them) very, very much.

I am happy to announce that I have been asked to perform a wee spot at the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival on Sunday the 24th of July. Here's to the beginnings of a beautiful and fruitful relationship! It's in a gorgeous new venue, The Rose Theatre that I'm very excited to be playing in.

Speaking of beautiful and fruitful relationships, the trio is comprised of those magnificent musicians (and good pals) Kevin MacKenzie on Guitar and Mario Caribe on bass. These two were the first musicians I played with when we arrived in Scotland in 2000, and it is always a joy.
